Kitties for Hire are less-social cats eligible for placement in safe outdoor environments with accessible shelter, where they contribute to rodent control or prevention. Caregivers provide daily food, water, and care as needed.
We are looking for urban/suburban placements that will feel more familiar to these cats, with secure, quiet rooms or buildings (greenhouse/house/she-shed/etc..) to slowly acclimate in.
Kitties For Hire cats are fixed, vaccinated, flea/worm treated, and microchipped. There is no fee to adopt a Kitties For Hire cat!
- Zelda (401414) - Zelda is a 6-year-old spayed tortoiseshell Shorthair who was turned into the shelter with almost no history, except that she lived primarily indoors. Zelda appears to be undersocialized and prefers people keep their distance. She has wonderful play/prey drive and would make a great mouser. She may even become more friendly with time and patience. We are not sure if Zelda has ever been exposed to other cats, so would be a great choice for someone looking for a single cat, but likely could be paired with another cat with a slow introduction.
- Fable (403463) - 4-year-old spayed buff tabby Shorthair. Fable is a very timid girl who was previously an indoor/outdoor cat. She is very nervous being touched or handled, but not aggressive. She lived with other cats in the past, and would thrive with another cat companion while carrying out her work duties - perhaps Tumbleweed?
- Tumbleweed (402950) - 5-year-old neutered grey/white Shorthair. We have little history on Tumbleweed, who thus far has been avoiding handling by people, but has good play/prey drive. He previously lived with other cats, and may appreciate another cat companion while carrying out his work duties - perhaps Fable?
