Hi, I'm Sequoia. I have a cute kinked bobbed tail. Don't worry, it's not an injury, it's genetic- my kittens were born with the same tail. I had kittens at a young age and while I'm an attentive mother, I'm ready to be on my own again. I'm not super stressed, but I'm always in alert mom mode. I growl softly when I think my home is being threatened, like when I hear the front door open or see activity outside. I just want a place to relax. I'm friendly and talkative, and I like to rest near calm people, but I am not a lap cat, at least I don't think I am. I do seek affection and I'm quick to purr. I like being pet or brushed for short periods of time and I like back and chin scratches best. You can pick me up to move me, but I don't really want to be held. Being carried around is not my idea of fun. My idea of fun is a good scratching post and a wand toy. I've discovered faucets and I think I'd really like my own drinking fountain. Running water is the best! I really love food of all kinds too. What are you eating and can I have some? No one ever shares with me, but it doesn't hurt to ask! I'm friendly and talkative, and I like to rest near people, but I am not a lap cat, yet. I seek affection and I'm quick to purr. I had a litter of kittens, but now that I'm on my own, I can relax. I don't have to be alert all the time, so I'm less sensitive to noises, and can pay attention to what really matters, like chasing insects and wand toys.
