Hello there! Dubhe here, and I have some exciting news. I'm now letting my foster mom pick me up-and I actually enjoy it! The other evening, I even let her hold me close. It's a huge breakthrough that I've been working on for a while. It was scary at first, but with the help of Churu (my favorite food group), I've learned to trust. 🌟 A Star is Born Hi to all my potential adopters! My name is Dubhe. Quite a unique name, don't you think? In case you're curious, I'm named after a very bright star in a distant galaxy. That's right-I'm a star! Pretty cool, right? 🐾 My Ideal Launchpad I'm a cautious girl, so I'll need some time in my forever home to get used to the setup. It's important that I spend my first few days in "my" room to get acclimated to everything, including you. This gives us both time to bond at a comfortable pace. I'm looking for a special, patient person who will: - Let my best self shine through. - Respect my independence. - Appreciate my desire to be a truly special cat. 🥣 The Way to My Heart I really, really like Churu or Delectables. I basically work for these two food groups! You can ask my foster mom all about it, but please-have a stash on hand! It took me a little time to decide I wanted to trust people, but I made the move one paw at a time. That's where the treats come in handy; how can I not trust a person who gives me Churu? While I used to only approach for snacks, my foster mom can now pet me from the top of my head to the tip of my tail without any bribes at all. 🎾 Playtime & Personality I love to play and am great at keeping myself busy. I currently hang out with a couple of other fosters around my age-we get into a little mischief together and it's so much fun! Because of that, I would love to have another cat in my forever home who is about my age to play with. A few more things about me: - I love high places: Just make sure I won't knock anything over when I'm surveying my kingdom! - I'm an athlete: I love batting balls around and chasing them. - I'm social: I'll gladly play with you if you have a wand toy nearby (and maybe some Churu). I'm working hard to be the best cat I can be. I'll be waiting to meet you to see if we're a perfect fit!
