Non-profit Friends of Multnomah County Shelter Animals Seeks Board Members

Friends of Multnomah County Shelter Animals is seeking new members to join its volunteer Board of Directors. Friends is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit that directly supports shelter animals at Multnomah County Animal Services by providing funds for compassionate care, urgent medical needs, and pathways to loving homes.

Friends is especially interested in individuals with experience in marketing, social media, system administration, accounting, finance, or grant writing who share a deep dedication to the welfare of pets in our community.

The Friends Board of Directors represents a broad spectrum of interests across the animal welfare arena. Board members are responsible for establishing the vision, strategic priorities, and policies that guide the nonprofit. Because this is an active working board, members participate directly in planning and executing fundraising events and outreach campaigns throughout the year.

Friends invites candidates who bring diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and skills to apply.

The required time commitment is approximately four hours per month. The board meets monthly, with roughly a quarter of meetings held in person and the remainder conducted via video conference.

To express interest or learn more, please contact support@friendsofmultcopets.org. Applicants should include a resume or brief bio detailing their background in animal welfare, board or governance experience, and any relevant professional skills.
