The Multnomah County Animal Shelter (MCAS) accepted 382 animals in March 2020. The majority of intakes were officer impounded animals, and strays from members of the public. Cats and dogs were the most commonly accepted animals.

The Multnomah County Animal Shelter released 410 animals. The majority of these animals were transferred to other agencies, reclaimed, or adopted. Dogs and cats were the most commonly released animals.
