Adopt Pets in Need of Loving Homes During PetSmart Charities National Adoption Week

Adoption events to take place at local PetSmart stores October 19-25, and Multnomah County Animal Services invites the community to meet with adoptable cats at PetSmart Gresham.

Every pet deserves the chance to have a loving home. As shelters and rescues across the country continue to operate with strained resources, Multnomah County Animal Services is partnering with PetSmart Charities® to help more pets find families during PetSmart Charities National Adoption Week.

Fall is a wonderful time to adopt a pet and welcome a new companion home. With a calmer pace before the busy holiday season begins, families can focus on helping new pets feel comfortable, establishing routines and building trust.

Adoptable Cats are available at PetSmart in Gresham every day, and Multnomah County Animal Services invites you to come in and meet with them.

To preview available cats for adoption, please visit our Adoptables page, and look for cats listed as Offsite - Petsmart Gresham.

“National Adoption Week is a wonderful time to adopt a pet and support your local shelter or rescue,” said Patrick Bell, director of Pet Placement Initiatives at PetSmart Charities. “When you adopt, you provide a loving home while helping free up space and resources for another pet in need. We’re proud to work alongside partners such as Multnomah County Animal Services, to help make a lasting difference for pets, families and the entire community.”
