Meet Huckleberry, a handsome American Shelter Dog who is ready to leave his stray days behind! What his foster family says about him! We have all been told that there is no perfect man, This beefy boy proves that wrong. Huckleberry, also known as Ruckus is always ready to do anything you are doing, but can also settle into his crate when asked. He loves being outside. Enjoying the grass or running around catching a ball. When he is inside, he will seldom be seen without a stuffy in his mouth. While he likes to play a bit rowdy. He has very good dog manners and can tone himself down to another dog's preference. He does great at coexisting. With anyone around him. Whether that be a person, a cat or other dogs. He settles nicely onto the couch. For an afternoon nap. And walks like a champ on a leash. He's learning the car thing. He thinks they're quite odd but once he gets in he settles in and is happy to be along for the ride. Be hard as a brick on the outside and shaped similar to one, but his insides are soft and squishy. He warms up not immediately but quickly to people although he is learning to be in public and quite scared in new places. He is quite scared in new places however his behavior is still incredible: he will shake like a leaf but sit or lie down quietly next to you as he assesses his new surroundings. Ruckus is a toy lover. You will seldom see him without a stuffy hanging from his mouth, he will squeak and roll around with them, but thus far in his foster, he's left them intact heaving a special love for he crab. Overall Huckleberry is a dream who is so lovely to have in your home leaving his foster parents in shock they have had the pleasure to get to have him in their home. Give this boy a chance, away from the hustle and bustle of the shelter to show you all the love he has to give, because he may be a big boy but his heart is even bigger.
