At this time, community members aren't able to visit the shelter to browse adoption kennels, and adoptions are limited to the virtual process.

Meet Bertha, a mature German Shepherd lady looking for just the right family. She came to the shelter as a stray so much of her history is a mystery but we have learned a few things since she's been here with us. Like many Shepherds she is bit shy of strangers at first but warms up quickly, she is smart and knows how to walk on leash and sit very nicely when asked and rewarded with a tasty treats. Speaking of treats she LOVES them, but Bertha does not like to share her snacks with anyone including people or animals so she needs to be the only dog in the home. Her history with cats and kids is unknown at this time but she may be fine with the right introduction and supervision.
Bertha has the energy of a teenager even though she's an older gal so her new family will be active and dedicated to her exercise regimen.
She has been patiently waiting for the perfect family to devote her love and life to that understands her needs and quirks. Apply online today to learn more about her.
