Multnomah County Animal Services would like to extend a sincere thank you to community members and groups who responded to our recent call for neonatal kitten supplies.

The first bottle-baby kittens have arrived. With more on the way, we need your support as foster volunteers, and to spread the word about what to do if you find kittens.

Scammers are targeting community members looking for their lost pets! They say your lost pet is injured and you need to pay for treatment. Please report calls or texts like this.

MCAS is now fully open for adoptions and found animal intake. Please call 503-988-7387 to schedule an intake appointment if you have a found animal to bring to the shelter.

The shelter is open for dog adoptions, while intake for new dogs is still closed. There have been no additional deaths or new cases of Streptococcus zooepidemicus (SZ) in the adoption kennels.
