Round of Apaws: Friends of Multnomah County Shelter Animals

Thanks to their generous donors, Friends of Multnomah County Shelter Animals (FoMCSA) is making a profound difference in the lives of our shelter animals. With continued community support, FoMCSA will supply martingale collars and sturdy leashes to every dog adopted throughout 2026.

Their support extends to the feline population as well. To meet the demands of kitten season, FoMCSA recently provided essential funds for foster kitten supplies, including:

  • High quality canned kitten food for nutritional support.
  • Warming pads to maintain body temperature for neonatal kittens.
  • Powdered kitten milk replacer for orphaned litters.

Those interested in supporting these efforts can visit the FoMCSA website!

Multnomah County Animal Services extends its deepest gratitude to Friends of Multnomah County Shelter Animals and their dedicated donors," said Erin Grahek, Director of Multnomah County Animal Services. "Their provision of high-quality gear for our adopted dogs and life-saving supplies for our foster kittens directly improves the welfare of the animals in our care. We are incredibly thankful for the partnership of FMCSA and for the generosity of the community that makes this work possible.
