Multnomah County Animal Services announces adoption partnership with PetSmart Charities and encourages adopting a new best feline friend from PetSmart Gresham during Adopt Joy event from July 20 - 26.
Cats from Multnomah County Animal Services are now available for adoption at Petsmart Gresham. Special Adoption Event on July 25.
(July 20, 2026) – GRESHAM, OREGON – Scores of adoptable cats are longing for people to shower with love and affection during the Petsmart Adopt Joy Event from July 20 - 26. Multnomah County Animal Services is proud to announce its partnership with PetSmart Charities to bring adoptable pets from the shelter into the PetSmart store located in Gresham at 430 NW Eastman Pkwy. Adoptable cats from Multnomah County Animal Services are available throughout the week, and a special adoption event on July 25 will also feature a wider variety of adoptable animals.
Gresham Petsmart staff are available to help potential pet parents to meet and spend time with adoptable cats from Multnomah County Animal Services during normal business hours for Petsmart Gresham, from 9 AM to 9 PM on Weekdays and Saturdays, and from 10 AM to 7 PM on Sundays.
Our new adoption partnership with PetSmart Charities to bring adoptable cats to the Gresham Petsmart store helps connect pets and people in a centralized location during convenient hours. This opens new doors for adoptable cats and for potential adopters.
Making room in your heart and home for a pet opens the door for another pet to enter the shelter, so you’re really saving two lives. We’re thankful for the professionals and volunteers at local shelters for the love and care they give to pets all year long – together we can make a significant impact on people and pets.
We’re grateful for this relationship and the outlet Petsmart Charities provides for the animals in our care. Things have been going very well during our soft-opening at Petsmart Gresham, they have helped find homes for cats and kittens we have brought to the adoption center in record time. This is a wonderful opportunity for adopters, especially in these summer months when more cats and kittens are available.
Event Details
Adoptable cats will be available during the Adopt Job event at the following times and PetSmart locations:
- 9 AM to 9 PM on Weekdays and Saturdays, and from 10 AM to 7 PM on Sundays
- PetSmart store located at 430 NW Eastman Pkwy, Gresham
