Meet Ruth, a special little snowflake looking for a very patient home! Ruth is as cute as can be, but she is still learning that people are friends. Her ideal forever home will have one or two adults who will give her plenty of time to settle in at her own pace. She loves the comforts of an indoor home - she enthusiastically tries out every toy, soft bed, and comfy piece of furniture. She enjoys the company of the resident cats in her foster home, and she would like a home with a friendly, social, and playful cat to help her feel secure and show her how to interact with people (and burn off energy playing chase!). After a few weeks, she started letting her foster human pet her, and she purrs loudly while enjoying face rubs and the occasional scratch above her tail. She even sometimes sits next to her person and gives headbutts. However, she's still nervous about being approached and will run if startled or cornered. She will give a warning hiss if surprised or overstimulated and needs understanding people who are familiar with cat body language and behavior. She loves playing with interactive fishing pole toys, and Temptations treats are the key to her heart! Ruth is quite vocal and meows in her squeaky little voice while exploring or if she can't find her cat friends. She is very energetic and playful, so lots of toys and playtime help her settle down and relax. Her foster thinks that Ruth will eventually settle down and be a friendly, sweet companion with enough time and understanding.
