The law requires that any person who has a pet in a public place must remove excrement (or other solid waste) deposited by the animal. This applies to all public places.
Multnomah County Animal Services (MCAS) is the county’s sole public animal shelter and control agency. The mission of MCAS is to provide equitable service, and excellence in quality of care.
Multnomah County Ordinance provides that Animal shall hold a public hearing on any properly filed appeal to Notices of Infraction (NOI), or Potentially Dangerous Animal Classification.
