Since rabbit teeth grow continuously they have a natural need to chew. Happy is especially fond of chew toys, and loves to shred newspaper so you will want to have a good supply of appropriate chew toys. You will also want to take extra care when bunny-proofing their area for their own safety. Young rabbits seem to explore the world with their teeth and can be diverted from chewing the wrong things by being provided with the right things. Paper towel tubes make great chew toys.
At this time, community members aren't able to visit the shelter to browse adoption kennels, and adoptions are limited to the virtual process.
All incoming stray rabbits are required to undergo a 14 day quarantine for RHDV2 in accordance with the Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA). This rabbit may be still within that initial quarantine period at the time of adoption. Our adoption counselors can review the current status of this rabbit with you at the time of your counseling session and answer any questions you may have. About RHDV2: RHDV2, or rabbit hemorrhagic disease, is a virus that causes sudden death in rabbits, wild or domestic. The disease is highly contagious among rabbit populations. RHDV2 poses no health risk to humans, dogs or cats; the virus only infects rabbits. How to adopt me
